On 10.10.2014, at 0010 hours, officers from the Tha Keta Police Station went to investigate a report that a man had been exposed to radiation and died while receiving medical treatment at a hospital in eastern Yangon.
The deceased was Po Cho (18) from Thaketa Township. Burned and bruised under Yarin's chest. It was found that the right side of the cheekbone was bruised and there was a conjunctivitis.
When investigating the incident, it was the plug head from the bedside fan
He said that he punched into the light socket which was hung with a string on the ceiling, and the fan did not turn on, so he grabbed the light socket. As he held it, the top cover of the light socket came open. He was electrocuted when he grabbed the open light socket with his hand and fell face down onto the light socket and sustained injuries. It is learned that he died while being transported to the Eastern Hospital.
Regarding his death, it is reported that an investigation is being opened under Thaketa City Police Station's death case number (23/2014).
